Daniel Arthur Friend

Daniel Arthur Friend, 71, laid to rest on Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Hayward Area Memorial Hospital, in the City of Hayward, Wisconsin in which he resided.

Daniel was born December 7, 1949, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parent, June Susterich and Robert Friend.  He received his High School Equivalency Certificate in Phoenix, Arizona from Scottsdale University majoring in photography and woodworking.

Daniel was a maintenance engineer at the Phoenix Hilton in 1979-1982 and the Breakers Hotel in Long Beach, California from 1984-1988.  He also was a self-employed carpenter and photographer in his spare time. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and four great nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Saulig; daughter, Christina Friend; son-in-law, Cowee Salinas; three grandchildren, Isabelle Salinas, Cowee Salinas, Jr. and Daniel Salinas; four sisters, Sherry Rosetto, Linda Waystedt, Christine Susterich, and Mary Lou Campion; stepbrothers, Rick Friend, Lonie Friend and Randy Friend; stepsister, Lori Friend; and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 3, 2021, at the Hayward Wesleyan Church in Hayward, Wisconsin with Pastor Ryan Wilson officiating.
