Dale Walter Voigt

Dale Walter Voigt, age 79, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023 at his residence in Cable, WI.  He was born on June 22, 1944 in Waukesha, WI, the son of August and Norma (Howard) Voigt.  He was united in marriage to Elisabeth Riemersma on October 16, 2009 in Shawano, WI.

Dale moved to Cable at the age of one and attended Cable schools, graduating in 1962.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army and spent two years of service as a combat medic in Vietnam.  He established a successful contracting business in Shawano until retirement and moved back to Cable to enjoy the peace of the Northwoods.

Dale is survived by his beloved wife, Elisabeth Voigt of Cable, WI; his daughter, Roxanne (Tyler) Readman of Pound, WI; his step-son, William (Christie) Frederick of Parkton, MD; his step-daughter, Linda (Dorian) McGavern of Gaithersburg, MD; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter, his brother, Dennis (Joan) Voigt of Altoona, WI; his twin sister, Connie Foat of Whitehall, WI; his brother-in-law, Raymond (Karen) Riemersma; his sister-in-law, Grace Akkerman; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Dale is preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Voigt.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Hayward Funeral Home, 15571 W. County Highway B, in Hayward where visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.  A gathering will follow at the Hayward Veterans Community Center.  Interment will be held privately at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
