Clifford Hinkens Obituary

Clifford Joseph Hinkens, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in Draper Township, Wisconsin.  He was born July 11, 1983 in Sault St. Marie, MI, the son of William John Hinkens and Betty Lou Mayer (Litzner).

Clifford was a very happy and generous man who met most of the friends and family with huge hugs that lifted your feet off the ground.  He enjoyed seeing people happy and was known for his legendary back massages.  Clifford was most happy when spending time with the love of his life, Allison and proposed to her at the lighthouse in St. Ignace.  He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and often shared rides with his father.  He also enjoyed golf, bowling leagues and playing cards, especially Euchre even though he usually lost...though graciously.  He was very proud to join his best friend, Jack in a captaining career.  Most of all, Clifford enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as he really appreciated being included in gatherings no matter what the activity.  He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his beloved fiancé, Allison Bintner of Coon Rapids, MN; his father, William Hinkens  (Patty Kelly)of Marinette, WI; his mother, Betty Lou (Louis) Litzner of St. Ignace, MI; his siblings, Patrick (Becky) Litzner of Boyne City, MI, Lisa Marie (Paul) Krause of St. Ignace, MI, Erica Marie (Amy) Ahlich of Tampa, FL and Torie (Charles) Nelson of  Portage, MI; his nieces Keely, Chloe, Mercedes, Alayna and Evelyn; his best friends, Jack (Amanda) McKinnon and Jonathan (Jennifer) Kemling and their daughter, Amelia; his grandfather, Bill Howland of Rudyard, MI; and many aunts and uncles.

Clifford is welcomed into the heavenly kingdom by his grandparents; and his aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be celebrated in Michigan and later in Wisconsin.
