Clarence Pawlowski Obituary

Clarence “Spike” Pawlowski, age 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2021 at his residence on Lake Namakagon near Cable, WI.  He was born on August 6, 1927 in Cicero, IL, the son of Michael and Rose (Kawczynski) Pawlowski.  He was united in marriage to Cecilia “Cel” Pawlowski on January 5, 1952 in Cicero.

Spike proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a combat veteran of the Korean War.  He was the Superintendent of Building and Grounds for both the East and West Campuses of the Morton High School in Cicero and Berwyn.   He and Cecilia built their home in Cable in 1961 and enjoyed their retirements on Lake Namakagon.  He enjoyed spending time fishing and enjoying nature with Cecelia and loved to be in his home and take in the view from Bear Point.  Spike was a devout Catholic and a faithful member of the St. Ann Parish.  He was also a dedicated member of the Cable Area Lions Club. 

He is survived by his nephew, Michael (Rosanne) Pawlowski of Lockport, IL; his nieces, Sharon (Ken) Kroll of Berkeley, IL, Diane (Harvey) Moshman of Evanston, IL, Anita (Tom) Dwyer of Oak Park, IL, Laura (Dave) Draper of Darien, IL and Renee (David) Cesario of St. Louis, MO; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Honek of Cicero, IL; and was a loving uncle of many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Clarence is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cecilia “Cel” Pawlowski; his sister, Rose Kanikula; a brother, Edward C. Pawlowski; his sister-in-law, Marion Pawlowski; and his brothers-in-law, Norbert Skrzypczak, Ted Kanikula and Raymond Honek. 

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Cable, where visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of Mass.  Interment will be held in the spring. 

Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
