Carol Jean (Robertson) Sunderland passed away on December 7, 2025 , at the age of 72, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her soulmate Bruce DeLawyer and family.
Carol worked for many years at the Streasu Lab in Spooner, Wisconsin and other managerial positions throughout the area. She resided in Trego, Wisconsin, but her home was truly the outdoors. She loved riding her Ebike everywhere and would always post pictures of her on her Ebike asking "Where's Waldo"? She enjoyed kayaking, jet skiing, swimming, camping, riding their ATV's, teaching her grandkids how to cross-country ski, and even spending quiet time in her flower and vegetable gardens.
Carol is survived by her two children, Joseph Michael (Melissa) Sunderland and Daniel Jay (Amanda) Sunderland, and her grandchildren, Aspen, Conner and Piper, and her brothers, Roy and James Robertson, a sister Pamela (Robert) Webber and Carol's life partner, Bruce De Lawyer and their little dog Reggie.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Ruth Robertson.
Carol had many hobbies, woodworking refinishing furniture and even construction where her and Bruce built together their screen hut, where they would sit and watch the squirrels and other wildlife.
To honor Carol's wishes, there will not be a funeral service, a private family service will be held to honor her life. Please remember Carol in your own special way.
