Carl Ross

Carl Stanley Ross, age 91, a long-time resident of the Trego area, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, with his wife Janet by his side.

Stanley was born on January 12, 1932, in Claremont, Minnesota, to parents Carl and Edna (Rydeen) Ross.  After school, he served 2 years in the US Army during the Korean War.  Stan was introduced to Janet Geving while she was staying with her cousin for a time in Minnesota.  They were married on February 14, 1960, at Christ Lutheran Church in Lampson.  He was a loving husband to Janet (Geving) Ross for 63 years.  The couple lived in the Trego area for most of their marriage.  The couple farmed for a few years until he began working at Peterson Boat Factory in Shell Lake and then at Link Recreational in Minong as a boat mechanic until his retirement, after many years.  He enjoyed gardening, lawn maintenance, reading, and caring for animals.

Stan is survived by his wife Janet, sister in law Rita (Roger) Peterson, 1 brother, several sisters, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A graveside service with Military Honors was held on Monday, April 24, 2023, at the Lampson Cemetery near Trego, Wisconsin.
