Barry Llewellyn Blakeborough

Barry Llewellyn Blakeborough, age 83, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December, 27, 2024 at his residence in Hayward, WI.  He was born on May 19, 1941 in Red Wing, Minnesota, the son of Lawrence and Carol (Larson) Blakeborough.  He was united in marriage to Linda Jane Gerdes on December 2, 1967.

Barry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He loved vacationing in the Hayward area since he was a kid and enjoyed the Northwoods, especially hunting and fishing.  Had many hangouts up north, his favorite being Lost Land Lake Lodge.  He was a sports fan and cheered on the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers.  Barry was an avid reader and was always eager to talk politics. 

He is survived by his children, Megan (Daniel) Tucker of Hayward, WI and Canton, GA and Ty (Diane) Blakeborough of Fitchburg, WI; his grandchildren, Annalise, Ayden, and Aubrey Tucker and Jackson Sabalones; his brother, Greg (Dana) Blakeborough of Barnes, WI; his niece, Tara Blakeborough; and his nephew, Cole Blakeborough.

In addition to his parents, Barry is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Blakeborough and his nephew Dru Blakeborough. 

Barry will be laid to rest with military honors at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
