Annette Lucille (Johnson) McKee, born on March 19, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, in Hayward, Wisconsin. She was the beloved daughter of Marguerite (Lange) and Albert Johnson, and a cherished sister to Robert Johnson, Kay Max, and Susan (Randy) Rhudy. Annette held a special place in her family’s hearts as a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Annette is remembered as a devoted wife to Richard McKee and a loving mother to her daughters, Susan Carson (Troy Birchfield), Jill (Raymond) Doerner, and the late Barbara Carson, and her son, James Carson. As a grandmother, she found immense joy in her role, spending cherished, silly moments with her grandchildren: Joe Plunk, Lisa (Justin) Hruska, Steven (Natalie) Carson, Amber Burchfield, Noah Grimshaw, Owen Grimshaw, Olivia Doerner, and Griffin Doerner. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Abigail Carson, Avery Carson, Justin Jr. Hruska, Rylee Hruska, and James Hruska.
A resident of Chicago and later Hayward, Annette was a loyal friend to many, leaving a lasting impact with her warmth and kindness. Her family and friends will forever remember her love, laughter, and the light she brought into their lives.
Annette’s legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched. Her humor and wit will be dearly missed.
