Anne C. Wikan

Anne Christine Wikan, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at her residence in Barnes, WI. She was born on November 20, 1956, in Superior, WI, the daughter of Patrick and Carolyn (Christianson) Bonner. She was united in marriage to Jeffrey Frederick Wikan on October 3, 2001, in Washburn County, WI.

Anne had a rewarding career as a park ranger with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. She served her community as an EMT for Douglas County. Before retirement, she enjoyed working in the Barnes community as a waitress and bartender. She loved the Northwoods and everything outdoors, especially gardening and spending time out on the water. Anne was known for her gardens and took pride in her gnome and fairy gardens. Always appreciating a good western, Anne really enjoyed the show, Gunsmoke. She was a dedicated member of the Barnes VFW Ladies Auxiliary where she was a master corn cook. Anne was quite the talker and had a wonderful sense of humor. Anne had a warm smile, kind heart and never skipped the opportunity to dance. She cherished any time and trips spent with her sisters. Anne absolutely adored her son Mike and granddaughter, Sophia. Her love and pride for them radiated anytime she talked about them.

She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 25 years, Jeff Wikan of Barnes, WI; her son, Mike Holsclaw of Superior, WI; her granddaughter, Sophia Holsclaw; her siblings, Patrice (John) Lancour of Barnes, WI, Kathleen (Steve) Hill of Richfield, MN and Mary (Leroy) Borsellino of Cable, WI; many nieces, nephews and dear friends; and her dear four-legged friend, Lola.

In addition to her parents, Anne is preceded in death by her first husband, Ryan Holsclaw and her brother, Neil Bonner.
