Agnes Marie Benjamin, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Dove Health in Spooner, WI 54801. She was born on April 24, 1933 in Warrens, WI, the daughter of Oscar and Emma (Kasten) Uischner. She was united in marriage to Thomas Bruce Benjamin on August 27, 1953 in Warrens, WI.
Agnes worked as a waitress for the Tiptown Supper Club in Shell Lake, WI and had a successful career with Clorox Manufacturing in Rice Lake. She later worked as a sorter of potatoes for Lapacinski Farms in Sarona, WI. Agnes was very dedicated to her family and was involved in all her grandchildren’s lives. She loved to organize and cater family gatherings and reunions. Agnes was an avid gardener and loved making her home and garden beautiful. Agnes was a kind and generous woman and always willing to help anyone in need.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Debbie) Benjamin of Spooner, WI, Sandy (Robert) Schenck of Janesville, WI, Tom (Barbara) Benjamin of Spooner, WI and Tim (Karla) Benjamin of Elk Mound, WI; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Agnes is preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Pongratz and Joyce Capper, and her brother Eldon Uischner.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a future date.
