Adam Richard Shilts, 46, of Minong, passed away on November 26, 2025. He will be remembered for his work ethic, deep loyalty, and a humor that could light up any room. Born on June 18, 1979, to Craig and Lori Shilts, Adam grew up with a strong sense of family and community. He graduated from Northwood High School in 1997 and went to work in the trades, earning a reputation as an exceptional welder and mechanic. To Adam, anything broken was simply something waiting to be fixed.
Adam was a devoted father and son who valued honesty, perseverance, and family above all else. He had a gift for storytelling- his wit, humor, and vivid imagination could fill a room and bring people together. Some of his happiest moments were spent in the mountains of western Wyoming, where he lived for many years and shared many camping adventures with those he loved most.
Adam is survived by his father, Craig Shilts of Minong; his daughter Skylar, and his sons, Sylas and Layne. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lori Shilts (Fye), his maternal grandparents Bill and Shirley Fye, and paternal grandparents Thomas and Delores Shilts.
Adam’s life was defined by love, craftsmanship, and an unwavering belief in fixing what could be mended. His memory will continue to live on in the stories he told, the work he crafted, and the family he cherished.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2025 at 12:00pm at the Minong Town Hall W7095 Nancy Lake Rd. Minong, WI.
