Thomas Jeffry Gabrys

Thomas J. Gabrys of Twin Ports Health in Superior and a former resident of Spooner died Monday August 5, 2019, at St Luke's Hospital in Duluth.
 

Tom was born January 16, 1944 and grew up in Superior. He moved to Spooner as a young man. He worked for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for more than 40 years. He was also a volunteer at The Spooner Fire Department for 25 years.  He enjoyed hunting and sharing stories with friends. During his retirement he volunteered at the Railroad Memories Museum in Spooner.

Survivors include: son, David of Minneapolis and daughter Jennifer of London, UK; siblings, Carol Madden of Superior, Mary Gabrys of Duluth, and Greg Gabrys of Bayfield. 

A private service is planned. If friends wish to, the family prefers memorials to; Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary, N2384 Hunt Hill Rd, Sarona, WI 54870.
