Ronald Lee Tuverson

Ronald “2V” Lee Tuverson, age 85, of Gordon, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Duluth.  He was born October 13, 1933 in Superior, WI, the son of Albert and Rachael Tuverson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Lyle; and his ex-wife, Marlys Greely.

His parents owned Tuverson’s Resort on the Gordon St. Croix Flowage where he assisted them and eventually took over the family business that was established in 1939.  Ronald was a teacher and administrator for the Solon Springs School District and took over ownership of his parent’s resort.   He loved nature and sharing the beauty of Northern Wisconsin with his guests who in turn became good friends and just like family.   Ronald enjoyed all the outdoors had to offer such as fishing, hunting, berry picking and walks through the woods. 

Ronald loved his country and was a strong patriot.  Ronald proudly served his country in the National Guard.  He was a conservative man and always kept up on current politics.  He enjoyed sports, especially his Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers.  Ronald was always up for a good time and never shied away from dancing.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Solon Springs where visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service.  Pastor Jason Clifton will officiate.  Military honors will follow at the church.  Interment in the Gordon Cemetery will follow the services.

Memorials will be directed to the Gordon St. Croix Flowage Association.
