Neila A. Kilgore

Neila A. Kilgore, age 67, of Barnes, WI and formerly of Superior, WI passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Superior Rehabilitation Center after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Neila Ann was born April 28, 1952 in Superior, Wisconsin, the daughter of Neil and Marion (Perreault) Norfolk. She was raised and attended school in Superior and then earned her associates degree in accounting from WITC. After schooling she started work at a clinic in Superior for a short time before taking a job with United Health Care. She worked with United Health for over ten years where she held various roles. Her last position for United Healthcare was in provider relations for transplants, in this role she would aid patients from across the country in need of a transplant. On July 20, 1999, Neila was united in marriage to the love of her life Patrick John Kilgore in Superior, WI. Neila and Patrick moved Barnes, WI where Neila took a position at Mariner Medical Clinic in 2007 where she retired and found cherished friendships which she held dear to her heart.  Neila enjoyed life on the lake, especially boating and teaching
children to swim.  Neila's joy in life was spending time with family, she loved antiques and collecting treasures, movies, reading, and was an active member of Northern
Lights Christian Center in Hayward where she would often help with daycare and other groups.  Neila was a strong women, a wonderful mother and grandmother and strong in her christian faith and loved the Lord with all her heart! She was caring, compassionate, and brightened the room wherever she went.  

She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Patrick; her children, Jeremy Wicklund of Duluth, MN, Amy (Eric) Altman of Poplar, WI, Kaleb (Carrie) Wicklund of Shakopee, MN, April Wicklund of Ashland, WI, Richard (Ronda) Wicklund of Fairburn, GA, and Melissa (Gary) Van Overmeiren of Superior, WI; stepchildren Patrick (Amy) Kilgore Jr. of Lone Rock, WI, James (Chantell) Kilgore of Superior, WI, and Kate (Jamie) Swenson of Cottage Grove, MN; grandchildren, Abby, Grace, Thomas, Zachary, Jeni, Evan, Emma, Maci, Kimberly, Ashley, Brandon,Jamal, P.J., Luke, Seth, Cooper, Sawyer, Harbor, Natasha, and Kendra; 4 great grandchildren;  sister Becky (John) Lokke of Duluth, MN,many nieces and nephews, and her childhood lifelong friend Mary Beach, and many other dear friends. 

In addition to her parents, Neila is proceeded in death by her son, David Wicklund and
granddaughter, Krystal.
