Kathleen Van Wermeskerken

Kathleen J. Van Wermeskerken, age 95, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2019 at Water’s Edge Care Center in Hayward, WI.  She was born January 26, 1924 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Albert and Grace (Neu) Karl.  She was united in marriage to John Herman Van Wermeskerken on August 3, 1946. 

Kathleen took great pride in being a homemaker.  She loved cooking meals and having fresh baked goods for her husband and family.  She also enjoyed reading and growing flowers, especially violets.  Kathleen was a lifelong animal lover and passed that love on to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Debra Mizwicki of St. John, IN, Garry (Nancy) Van Kerken of Glenwood, IL and Tony (Denise) Van Wermeskerken of Cable, WI; her grandchildren, Matthew and Samantha Mizwicki and Keaton and Kimberly Van Kerken; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

In addition to her parents, Kathleen is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Van Wermeskerken; her brother, Ernest Wulff; and her son-in-law, John Mizwicki.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
