James T. Owsianowski, age 78, of Cable, WI passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at his home.
James Thomas was born May 29, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Casimer and Iris (Brieder) Owsianowski. He was raised in the Milwaukee area and graduated from Bayview High School there. After his graduation Jim joined the U.S. Marine Corp. on June 9, 1958. Jim earned the rifle sharpshooter badge and the Good Conduct Medal for his time in service. He was honorably discharged on March 26, 1962 and then served two more years in the Marine Corps Reserve. Jim returned to Milwaukee where he went to school to be a machinist. Jim worked for Kyle Manufacturing for most of his career in South Milwaukee. Jim was joined in marriage to Judy Keay in Milwaukee, WI and they made their home in Franklin, WI. Jim spent many weekends at his cabin property on Atkins Lake near Cable, WI and retired there after his retirement. Jim enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, and collecting paraphernalia from those activities.
Jim is survived by his three siblings, Karen Lopez of Greenfield, WI, Robert (Judy) Owsianowski of Greenfield, WI, Therese Owsianowski of Bayview, WI; two step-children, Chris Keay of Franklin, WI, Heather Keay of Orlando, FL; three step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering will be held for Jim from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Pioneer Bar, 47010 County Hwy D. in Cable, WI.
