Elizabeth "Betty" Thompson

Elizabeth “Betty” M. Thompson, 91, of Minong, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Spooner Health System, Spooner, WI.

Betty was born on December 10, 1927 to Albert and Eunice (Hills) Chartier in St. Paul, MN.  She is survived by: her daughter, Cheryl Thompson, her son, Harold “Butch” Thompson, 10 grandchildren; Jessica Powers (Thompson), Zachariah Thompson of IN, Christopher Thompson, Adam Thompson, Amber Thompson, Shayna Thompson, Ronald Thompson, Jr., Randy Thompson, Elizabeth Thompson, and Brian Daniel Thompson, several great-grandchildren including; Anthony Landsverk, Destiny Hulquist (Landsverk), Wyatt Thompson, Rainah Powers, and Jace Powers, one great-great-grandson, Patrick R. Hulquist, one sister, Patricia Stark, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by; her husband, George “Buddy” Thompson, 3 sons, David, Bruce, and Ronald Thompson, one brother, Harold Chartier, and two sisters, Shirley Hudson, and Jackie Chartier.

A celebration of life will be held for Betty at on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Minong Village Hall with Pastor Ben Kidder officiating.
