Duane David Pauling

Duane D. Pauling, 72, of Sarona, WI, formerly of Afton, MN, passed away unexpectedly, after a brief illness, on Friday, May 31, 2019 at The Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI. 

Duane was born on August 9, 1946 to Harold and Dolores (Rediger) Pauling in St. Paul, MN.  He served in The US Navy. 

Duane is survived by: his wife, Nancy (La Bree, Hofstedt), his mother, Delores Pauling, one daughter, Meredith Jeff) Warner, two sons, Mark and Mike (Amanda), three granddaughters, Isla, Olive, and Sylvie, one brother, Lee (Jan), one sister, Jan (Jim) Koktavy, two step-daughters, Kris (Tim) Fisher, and Deb Meyer, two step-grandsons, Ryan and Alex Meyer, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded by his father, Harry Pauling. 

Memorials are preferred to; The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, 611 W. Doege Street, Marshfield, WI 54449, or The Washburn County Area Humane Society.

A funeral service will be held for Duane on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 2:00 PM at The Spooner Funeral Home in Spooner, WI with Pastor Ralph Thompson officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Military honors will be held at the funeral home.
