Donald Marvin Henderson

Donald Marvin Henderson, age 84, passed away peacefully on Monday February 11, 2019 at his residence in Cable, WI.  He was born on May 15, 1934 in Ashland, WI, the son of Marvin and Florence (Henderson) Fagg.  He was united in marriage to Barbara Beatrice Oslund on October 4, 1988.

Donald graduated from Cable High School.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army as an anti-tank and mine specialist during the Korean War.  Donald also sailed the Great Lakes ships.   He was a dedicated member of the Cable American Legion Post 487.  Donald worked construction most of his life alongside his wife, Barbara and many interesting individuals.  He loved nature and his little slice of heaven along the Namekagon River just outside of Cable. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara of Cable; his children, Kenneth (Collette) Schroeder; Lisa (Dennis) Brauer and Lori Love (Blaine Silvernagel); his grandchildren, Nichole, Tonya, Tracy, Kendra, Boone, Sara, James, Emma, Elizabeth, McClellan and Kelby; his great-grandchildren, Hunter, Grant, Alex, Everette, Koah, Asher, Zuriel, Gabriella, Isabella, Kora, Karoline, Elijah, Sadie, Logan and Kennedy.

In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his step-mother, Dorothy Fagg; and his step-sister, Joyce Burtner. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Cable United Church of Christ, where visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.  Military honors will be accorded by the Wisconsin Military Funeral Honors Program and the Cable American Legion Post 487.  Interment will be private.
