Dennis J. Brauer

Dennis J. Brauer, age 63, of Cable, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.  He was born September 11, 1955 in Rockford, IL, the son of Burdette Marshall and LaVon H. (Olson) Brauer. 

Dennis graduated from Harlem High School in Rockford, Illinois in 1973.  He worked for Waste Management in Rockford for 13 years.  He moved to Cable, Wisconsin in 1992 so he could enjoy more time fishing.   It was there he met Lisa Fagg and they were united in marriage on Valentine’s Day in 1993.  Dennis worked for Como Gas Company in Cable for over 18 years.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and working outside.  He was an animal lover and his kind heart led him to bring home many family pets.  Most of all, Dennis was a family man and a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Lisa Brauer of Cable; his children, Sara St. John of Rockford, IL, James Brauer of St. Paul, MN, Emma Brauer of Mason, MI and Elizabeth Brauer; his grandson, Logan St. John; his brother, Daryl (Pam) Brauer of Rockford, IL; his sisters, Brenda, Kimberly and Tamra; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by his sister, Marcia Jensen; his brother-in-law, Richard Jensen; and his father-in-law, Donald Fagg Henderson.

Denny’s Memorial will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at his residence in Cable.  Interment will be held privately.
