Lifetime Burnett County resident, Carol Fay Haseltine, 83, passed away on March 09, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Indiana.
Carol was born on Christmas Day in 1935 in Dewey Township.
Carol’s passion was her campground, Scenic View, which she owned and operated for nearly 50 years. During those years, she made many life long friends of the campers at Scenic View.
She is survived by: her daughter, Terri (George) Lawton, sister-in-law, Helen VanSelus, niece, Janet (Richard) Goff, nephews; Mark (Kara) Jersey, Brian Jersey, John (Shannon) Rhode, step-sons, Eric and Dean Haseltine, step-daughters, Jody (Justin) Peck, and Diane (Jim) Knudson; seven grandchildren, Alex, Corey, Spencer, Kaylee, Benjamin, Samantha, and Zachary.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom Haseltine, Her parents, Arthur and Cleone VanSelus, sisters, Winfred Jersey and Jean Rhode, brother, Tom VanSelus, nephews, David Graf and Tom VanSelus Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at The Spooner Funeral Home, 306 Rusk St, Spooner, WI 54801, at 5pm. Visitation will begin at 4 pm. Burial will be at a later date in The Spooner Cemetery.
