Sandra Carol (Lindstrom) Hutchison

Sandra Carol Hutchison passed away peacefully with her husband, Wayne, by her side. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold, and Mildred Lindstrom; her first husband, Jim Fox; her sisters, Donna Adams, and Marsha Wetzler, as well as her family pets, Lady, Ms. Sascha and Camo. 

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Hutchison; brother, Jeff Lindstrom (Lynette); daughters, Erika Manson (Dan), Emily VenHuizen (Brandon), Jessica Roppe (Mark); and grandchildren, Eva Lucas (Jack), Noah Lobitz, and Morgan Lobitz; and her beloved Labrador, Simon.

Sandy had many friends and she loved them all dearly.  She enjoyed entertaining by the lake, loved the Northwoods and her time spent in Grand Marais participating in the dragon boat races with the “Birkie Girls” for 11 years.

Sandy attended the University of Minnesota as an English major and spent most of her working career as a technical editor for Unisys.  In her later years she was a para teacher at Nicollet Middle School.  She thoroughly enjoyed her time working with the children.

Sandy is thankful for her church family and for the abundance of love and support. 

A memorial service celebrating Sandra’s life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the Hayward Wesleyan Church with Pastor Loretta Sunderland officiating.  A time of gathering will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.  A celebration of life will also be held at Sandra’s home later this summer at a date to be announced.
